Technology

No separate white-noise machine, speaker, power supply, cables, or additional devices.

We have integrated two nighttime devices into one

Many CPAP users who want background noise must use a separate sound machine, smartphone, speaker, or other device.

All-In-One Design

A combined CPAP/white-noise system eliminates the need for a separate bedside sound device.

This can provide:

  • Fewer devices on the nightstand

  • Fewer power connections

  • Less bedside clutter

  • One control interface

  • One integrated enclosure

  • One coordinated nighttime system

  • Potentially simpler setup and operation

  •

The product therefore becomes more than a CPAP machine with an added speaker; it becomes an integrated sleep-support platform.

Personalized Settings

The integrated system allows the user to control CPAP-related settings and white-noise characteristics from the same interface.

For example, the user could select:

  • White-noise volume

  • Sound profile

  • Automatic start/stop

  • Gradual volume ramping

  • Nighttime operating schedule

  • Display brightness

  • Sleep-mode settings

  •

This allows the system to be designed around the user's complete bedtime routine rather than treating CPAP as an isolated medical device.

Supports CPAP adherence

Adherence is one of the most important practical challenges in CPAP therapy. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine recommends monitoring PAP use and addressing problems that interfere with continued use.

The combined device provides a potential additional comfort feature without changing the fundamental CPAP therapy.

If a user finds the integrated white noise relaxing or useful for masking environmental sounds, the feature may make the overall nighttime routine more comfortable and predictable. That could potentially encourage continued use.

A separate sound machine introduces another device that must be purchased, positioned, powered, adjusted, and maintained, and may not be covered by insurance.

Integration places the sound-generation capability directly into the CPAP system.

The two complementary functions address different aspects of sleep:

CPAP

  • Addresses obstructive breathing

  • Maintains airway pressure

  • Treats the respiratory component

  • Primarily medical function

  • Essential CPAP therapy

Integrated White Noise

  • Addresses environmental sound

  • Provides acoustic masking

  • Supports the sleep environment

  • Primarily comfort/environmental function

  • Optional personalized sleep feature

ZZZZpap offers

intelligent control

An integrated device coordinates the two systems. For example, the device can automatically enter a sleep mode after the user begins therapy, activate white noise at a selected level, reduce display illumination, and continue operating throughout the night.

A complete nighttime sleep-support system

One device, one bedside system, two complementary functions: respiratory support and sleep-environment management. A more complete, convenient, personalized, and user-centered nighttime experience.

Controlled sleep-sound environment

Adaptive sound masking as it will adjusts the sound based on blower speed, pressure, operating mode, or measured acoustic output, as well as ambient sound. ZZZZpap detects and masks the CPAP's own operating noise.
